ANOTHER GREAT REGION 70 NIGHT

Going by the brilliant attendance for the James Gardener night, it's clear the region is getting stronger and stronger.
It was once again nice to see so many new faces watching what was a really informative talk by James.
His methods for catching big pike were there for all to see and I for one walked away with a few extra tips under my belt for the next time I go pike fishing. James clearly enjoys his fishing wether he catches a big fish or not and his talk included his early pike fishing days where he developed the rigs he uses today.
The one really good thing was they are simple to use and clearly work with fish up to 38lb boated.
The raffle on the night was filled with some top of the range prizes with most in the room winning something.

A big thanks goes out to James for his excellent talk and to all those that attended.

Roll on the next one!!!

SEASONS END BUT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT

Our final show of the season, was brilliant with John and Steve presenting an excellent talk and slide show which had those attending on the edge of there seats. Talk of Catfish, Tarpon and Mahseer etc was really an eye opener and we are sure some in that room will be tempted to go out and get equipped to fish for some of those hard fighting species John and Steve talked about.

Over the course of the season we have had some great nights and we would like to take this oppertunity in thanking those that bothered to attend and support the region. Also a big thank you to all those guest speakers that took the time to travel down to Sussex to entertain those that attended.

The region has over the season gone from strength to strength and we are really looking forward to next seasons round of guest speakers already.

We also hope to have a couple of fish-ins booked as well for everyone to enjoy.

Keep checking the blog for updates and our next winters guest speaker program.

Roll on next season!

JOHN SYNNUCK & STEVE GOULD COME TO SUSSEX

Next Tuesday being 8th April see's Sussex welcome Thames Gateway Regional Organizers Steve Gould and John Synnuck.

Both are exceptional anglers with a vast array of specimen predatory fish to their names. As well as their piking exploits there's a foreign twist with Tarpon from the Florida keys, Mahseer from India and the giant wells catfish getting a mention too.

I am reliably informed this is one of the best predator talks going, one not to be missed.Normal venue being the Kings Head, starting at 8 O'Clock so be there early.

This will round up the region for the 07/08 season so We look forward to seeing you there.

We would like to take this oppertunity to thank all those that have supported the region over the past season.

ANDY FROST TALK WEDNESDAY 13TH FEBRUARY

On Wednesday we were lucky enough to have Andy Frost down from Norfolk for a talk and slide show.
It was Andy's first ever talk, and have got to say he is one of the best speakers we have had down to the region. The flavour of the talk being pike fishing in Norfolk past and present.
Andy's knowledge of the many rivers and broads is second to none and those in the audience were treated to well presented and at times humorous stories of Andy's exploits fishing these reknowned waters.
Andy also brought along some made up rods for demonstration purposes to show how he tackles the tidal rivers of Norfolk and of course the many broads in the area. He also brought along an interesting adaption to the George Foreman grill!
All in all it was a great night and We are sure those present went away with some information or ideas which will go a long way to improving there fishing and hopefully putting a few more fish on the bank.
Andy has mentioned he may do some more talks for regions in the future and if he does decide to present a talk to a region near you, get along to it, because it is not one to miss.
Finally we would like to thank Andy for coming down and a big thank you all those PAC members and non members for supporting the region, going by the attendance the region is definately on the up.
